A fantastic text came to us last night... on good old New Year's night. It read something like, "...we just took hot cinnamon rolls out of the oven and thought of you guys... want one?"
OH YEAH!!!!
The Peterson's graciously offered a few hot cinnamon rolls to us because they know we love them. And especially Josh loves them. If you need a refresher, you can look at a past post about our fun baking night where we were taught the art of Amelia's Cinnamon Rolls. However... this post is unfortunately about the state of my cinnamon roll after Josh came home from picking up a few hot ones. See the above picture. Yep. He took a bite. After having one scrumptious WHOLE cinnamon roll himself. He took a bite.
Last year in December, when the Peterson's offered Josh a cinnamon roll after Home Teaching them, (this was the beginning of his obsession, mind you) and then they gave him one to take home to me.... I never saw it. I only heard about how good they were! Never even knew they sent one home intending it to be mine. I was none the wiser until this year, when the truth was revealed to me. THIS is why after that awesome text telling us of hot cinnamon rolls to be had, I talked in length to Josh about actually coming home with a full cinnamon roll this time. He failed miserably. Because he walks in the house, plops the cinnamon roll in my hands, and I see a GAPING whole in the side. Josh is in big trouble. And next time I'm not sending Josh out. It'll be my job.
Thanks Petersons!!!! WE LOVED THE CINNAMON ROLLS! Or, I guess I should say I loved what I HAD of the cinnamon roll. :) The roll minus one big bite.

You definitely should be the one to go next time. And be sure that Josh's has a bite out of it.
Julia made cinnamon rolls here last night...but I'm being good about calories, so I didn't personally sample one. They looked delicious, though.
OH MY EDWARD! I didn't wrap it because I didn't want to smoosh the frosting. I should have wrapped it!! I'm glad some of it got to you though! Better than last year. We sent 3 last year because you were at your parents house. Did he eat all 3???
I should have sent more this time. Sorry. Next time I'll text YOU. :D We actually thought you both might come over, so when Josh showed up alone, I did wonder. Hee, hee.
Glad you enjoyed it. They were so good warm from the oven!
Your post of cinnamon rolls is what inspired me to make them last night. We had the missionaries coming to help us with moving a bunch of stuff around, and I wanted something to thank them with. It ended up being a pretty long process. You can read about it on my blog.
Anyway, we ended up with 30 cinnamon rolls so we shared a plate with David and Holly, and sent several more home with the missionaries. As of this evening, they are all gone. So, I think everyone must have enjoyed them.
I agree you should pick them up next time if Joshua can't be trusted to make it home with yours in one piece. :-)
