The Body Bugg:

Yes, I have acquired a body bugg. You know... that thing that the people on The Biggest Loser wear all day? Oh my. It truly is a glorious thing! (thanks mom)

I've only had it for a day, but I can already see how awesome it will be. There's no cheating. No messing up. No pretending like you exercised more than you actually did. Complete accountability.... to a little thing that goes on your arm. I love it. And the website that goes with it is super cool too. That's where all the info goes and they analyze your stats and give you meal plans and just keep track.

One of the first indications that I really need to be losing weight and that my body is just waiting for me to do something was what happened the very first day I used this body bugg.........I lost 3 pounds. That says to me that my body is probably jumping up and down in side and saying, "finally! She's actually trying!" Weight only comes off that fast when you have a lot to lose and you previously haven't been trying too hard because you're so depressed over it all anyway. So, depression better take a back seat and healthy living better take the front. I feel inspired quite often to be healthier and get skinnier... and some times I follow through for about week... but hopefully this time I'll stick with this until I reach my goal. I am in a better place spiritually, which always helps me to be motivated and follow through in OTHER aspects of my life. It's interesting because when I read my scriptures in the morning... I always find time to exercise that day. When I don't read my scriptures, the only exercise I get is lifting my big baby boy all the time. So, I've been better with scripture study, and hopefully that means I'll be better with exercise. That would be really happy. I'll let you know how it goes. :)

Frustrated.

I was anticipating a very important package this morning to be delivered to our apartment. Why is it, that when they say they'll be here between 7 and 9am, they come at 9:15am???? My package was very heavy, and it was curb side pickup, so Josh had to be here to help me get it up to our apartment. Well, he ended up being late for work this morning AND we didn't get our package because they kept telling us they were on time (would be here by 8:30am) and yet they never showed up. Only at 9:15am did we get a call saying they were here, but by then Josh was gone. My package was HERE! But because they "only do curb-side drop off" they wouldn't help me with the package and we had to reschedule the delivery.

I was really excited about my package. And now I have to wait all weekend for it. Silly people.

My New Background...

What do you think of this??

Some people think this is a puke-y color. It might be a little too yellow for me... but I'm not sure yet.

Or do you like these better? Man, I'm having fun doing all this stuff. It really doesn't take long either!

My honey is funny:

I was stitching my little squares onto my new advent calendar(see it here)... and Josh asked me what I was planning on putting in the squares. I told him maybe some candies with an act of Christmas-y service to do in each one. He goes,

"oh... you mean like clean up the house. (he's thinking...) ... and make your bed .... (more thoughts) ... like a manger."

That's his idea of Christmas-y service. Make your bed, like a manger. :)

Work in Progress:

I purchased my lovely wool felt today and cut out my tree. It was very scary to actually cut it out though because it was expensive stuff!! I didn't want to mess up. BUT... it turned out ok. :) And the color is much nicer than the pictures show. I like it WAY more in person.

I still have to put numbers below each row... so all the squares will have more space between them making the huge empty space at the bottom not so huge and empty. Right now it looks a little top heavy. But it'll all be even in the end. My squares are finished! Those boogers took forever. All that stitching. Now I'll put interfacing on the back of the squares, stitch them on the tree, stitch the numbers under the squares, then sew the tree pieces together and I'm done! Oh, and make a star for the top. And maybe put our name on it somewhere. Oh yeah, and make some little snowflakes on the tree. The end still seems so far away. I'm not tired of it yet though... so that's good. It's just a fun little project. Oh wait, I mean it's a fun BIG project. :)

Blog Backgrounds Tutorial:

Although I'd love to take credit on figuring our how to make a blog background... I am not that computer/photoshop savvy. So... for all who care to know...

HERE is the tutorial I found that I followed. Well, I followed it mostly with some tweaking. Enjoy!

Blog Backgrounds...

Are much easier to make than I thought! I made this background... and I'd like to know if any of you view it differently than me. I had to do some changing around so that it looked right on my screen... but if any of you have a wide screen and it looks hideously out of place... will you let me know please?

I only can see what I see on my screen. I'd love to know what you see!

The Famous Cinnamon Rolls: Episode 2

A fantastic text came to us last night... on good old New Year's night. It read something like, "...we just took hot cinnamon rolls out of the oven and thought of you guys... want one?"

OH YEAH!!!!

The Peterson's graciously offered a few hot cinnamon rolls to us because they know we love them. And especially Josh loves them. If you need a refresher, you can look at a past post about our fun baking night where we were taught the art of Amelia's Cinnamon Rolls. However... this post is unfortunately about the state of my cinnamon roll after Josh came home from picking up a few hot ones. See the above picture. Yep. He took a bite. After having one scrumptious WHOLE cinnamon roll himself. He took a bite.

Last year in December, when the Peterson's offered Josh a cinnamon roll after Home Teaching them, (this was the beginning of his obsession, mind you) and then they gave him one to take home to me.... I never saw it. I only heard about how good they were! Never even knew they sent one home intending it to be mine. I was none the wiser until this year, when the truth was revealed to me. THIS is why after that awesome text telling us of hot cinnamon rolls to be had, I talked in length to Josh about actually coming home with a full cinnamon roll this time. He failed miserably. Because he walks in the house, plops the cinnamon roll in my hands, and I see a GAPING whole in the side. Josh is in big trouble. And next time I'm not sending Josh out. It'll be my job.

Thanks Petersons!!!! WE LOVED THE CINNAMON ROLLS! Or, I guess I should say I loved what I HAD of the cinnamon roll. :) The roll minus one big bite.
