The Famous Cinnamon Rolls:

Last year Josh's life changed after he was given a cinnamon roll from heaven. He has been actively trying to obtain the recipe ever since... and now our friends were gracious enough to not only give us the recipe, but also feed us a yummy dinner AND give us a live, hands on demonstration of how to make these beauties.
This was right before we left to the highly anticipated cinnamon roll baking night. We're happy.
The two little pixies patiently waiting for the yummy rolls.
Kelly did one batch while Josh followed along with his own batch.

Mmmm... dough.
The cinnamon and sugar concoction. Oh yeah... and mounds and mounds of butter. :)
Josh is oh so happy.

pre-baked rolls.
putting the rolls into the pan... the anticipation is killing us!

Melissa and I trying to get an artistic photo at the same time.
Josh, still trying to kneed the dough enough. :) He got pretty gooey.
THE FINISHED PRODUCT. Kelly's great-grandmother's cinnamon rolls from heaven. And, yes, they were definitely heavenly.

What a fun night we had. We ate a yummy dinner and then we watched So You Think You Can Dance while the rolls were rising. Great fun! Thanks Peterson family! I'm sure the fantastic cinnamon roll recipe will be used for years to come. Mmmm... and hopefully next time my oven doesn't do freaky things... *wink wink*

It was so fun to do that 'live'. I loved how the men were totally into it. I noticed both of us didn't mention the fopah, so I won't (hee, hee), but you need to make them again soon and have super-luscious heavenly ones. :D

Did I mention that I'm dying that my ENTIRE messy kitchen is in the photos. *blush*

Oh stop... it was only messy because of the boys cooking! :) Not to mention the fact that EVEN if it was messy...in my book you still have a pretty good excuse.

We were thinking of making cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning breakfast and to take some ward members for a surprise Christmas morning treat. I would love to have the Cinnamon rolls from Heaven recipe...what would be more appropriate for Christmas?
